An insurance client running a complex underwriting process — gathering data, running scenarios, generating documentation, routing approvals — reduced a ten-week workflow to ten days using Claude agents orchestrated by PwC consultants. The agents handle data gathering, scenario modeling, and documentation drafting. The consultants handle client judgment, regulatory interpretation, and the decisions that require human accountability.

A client organization's HR modernization program had stalled for months before a PwC team used Claude Code and Cowork to build a working prototype in one week and a full production application in under two months. SAP Joule Studio: No-Code Agents for 400,000 Enterprise Customers

SAP's install base is enormous — over 400,000 customers, covering the majority of the world's ERP, HR, procurement, supply chain, and finance software. Every organization that runs its business on SAP has, by definition, its core operational data in SAP systems. Joule Studio's purpose is to let anyone in those organizations build AI agents that are natively grounded in that operational data — without needing to extract the data first, build integrations, or hand the project to IT.
What Joule Studio actually is: A fully managed environment for building, deploying, and managing AI agents and workflows. It supports no-code visual development for non-technical builders and pro-code frameworks (LangChain, Pydantic AI, LlamaIndex) for developers. It embeds n8n for visual multi-agent orchestration — meaning complex workflows involving multiple agents can be mapped in a flowchart-style interface without code. Agents built in Joule Studio run on SAP-managed infrastructure with enterprise security and compliance built in.
What makes it meaningfully different from generic no-code agent builders: The agents know your SAP data natively. An HR team building a leave-approval agent doesn't need to wire up a connection to SAP SuccessFactors. A procurement team building a supplier comparison agent doesn't need to export data from SAP Ariba. The data the agents need to be useful is already there. That eliminates the integration overhead that has historically been the blocker for non-technical enterprise teams trying to build with AI.
Foundation models include Anthropic's Claude. SAP's partnership with Anthropic means Claude is among the models available inside Joule Studio, alongside other providers. Cursor and Claude Code integration for developers. SAP also announced managed Joule Studio support for Cursor and Claude Code — meaning developers inside SAP customer organizations who already use these tools can work within Joule Studio's managed infrastructure rather than running custom integrations.
Free design-time access through the end of 2026. SAP announced that all customers and partners receive twelve months of free access to the Joule Studio design environment. Given the scale of SAP's install base, this is the largest single expansion of no-code AI agent access to enterprise users announced in 2026. The organizations that run their operations on SAP — most of the Fortune 500, most large governments, most major financial institutions — now have a free path to building custom AI agents on their operational data.
Why These Three Stories Belong Together
The GitHub Copilot app, the PwC-Anthropic deal, and SAP Joule Studio are being covered this week as separate product announcements. Each has a different byline, a different set of features, a different target user. But the underlying dynamic they describe is the same.
The interface assumption is changing. The dominant assumption of the past eighteen months has been that AI coding agents are tools you access through a developer interface — a terminal, an IDE plugin, a browser tab inside a developer tool. Three practical implications for builders who don't define themselves as developers.
Your on-ramp depends on where your work already lives. The GitHub Copilot app is most valuable if your work is tracked in GitHub — issues, pull requests, repos. Claude Code and Cowork are most accessible if your organization is deploying Anthropic (the PwC partnership is the signal that enterprise deployment is accelerating). SAP Joule Studio is the right tool if your operational data is in SAP. None of these require you to choose between them in the abstract. They each connect to the systems you're already in.
The training and support infrastructure is being built.
